Membership in the Stevens County Historical Society, located in Morris, Minnesota, makes a wonderful gift for parents, children or relatives who may have moved away from the area, but still have an interest in the history of Stevens County.
The Reciprocal Organizations of Associated Museums (ROAM) is designed to offer membership benefits when you travel to other museums across North America.
What does this mean for you? If you are a member of SCHS at the Historians level, you have access to the benefit of free basic admission at over 300 participating museums around the United States and Canada. Keep this in mind when making travel plans! A few examples include:
Walker Art Center - Minneapolis, MN
Museum of the Mountain Man - Laramie, WY
Dallas Museum of Art - Dallas, TX
Milwaukee Public Museum - Milwaukee, WI
Textile Museum - Toronto, ON (Canada)
Platinum- and Gold-level members will receive a membership card with the ROAM logo on it, which will allow access into these museums. Museums have noted their exempt exhibits on the website, but calling ahead for details is always a good idea. Most museums allow two admissions with the presentation of the membership card.
